Get ready for the most colorful Fun Run to raise money for PTO on Friday October 24th!

This is the PTO’s largest fundraiser and an awesome day to have students show their school spirit by Running for the Rock!

Let’s make this the most successful Fun Run in Rock Springs history. The money raised from this event goes right back into the school to provide important programs, educational materials, and teacher supplies to help continue to make Rock Springs the best school in Lincoln County!

We encourage parents, families, and friends to come out and enjoy the event. There will be music, running, and a whole lot of FUN!

(Pro tip: arrive about 15 minutes before you student runs – parking can be difficult!)

FAQs

What is the Fun Run???

The Fun Run is a fundraising event in which students are sponsored by family and friends through donations. On the day of the Fun Run, students will run as a class during their assigned time. Friends and family of students are encouraged to come support their student while they run. Times can be found HERE by grade.

Why do we host the Fun Run?

As you know, Lincoln County schools have the lowest per student education spending in the entire state and North Carolina education spending is one of the lowest in the nation. Rock Springs Elementary continues to be a top-tier school and that is in part because of the success of the Fun Run.

The funds collected through this event go back to the students by purchasing educational programs such as PebbleGo, Reflex and Frax, Read and Quiz, First in Math, iReady Teacher Toolbox, Scholastic News, and Read Theory. In addition to these programs, these funds also help purchase extra copy paper for staff to use throughout the school year.
